“Out Of The Display Case -- To The Top Of The Rail!”

By Wolfgang Bauer and Bryant Booth

Group 4: Curiosities

Steam table

The work table of a "steam specialists." Very important is superheated steam oil. The specialists needs some fluids also!

Steamer on bridge

Here we have made a classic experiment as in school: We take a real steam locomotive ("stork leg" made by Schoenner), a CARETTE tender, some MÄRKLIN freight cars, a replica bridge by BAUER, track by our friend Heinz and for the bridge bollard, two bouquets of artificial flowers from the breakfast tables of the hotel. And then we light a fire under the boiler! It works fantastic! And all will enjoy the perfect result of our experiment.

Shadows

Shadow plays: Three gauge 1 Rarities (produced in 1889 by PLANK) throw long shadows here. These rare cars are carefully hand-soldered and hand painted lovingly. The interior is lavishly designed and detailed and the windows are fitted with real thin glass sheets. Unfortunately, we can only see the rooftops...

Unknown steamer

“Dear Friends of gauge 0 trains! We need no cement and no oil - we need BEER! But the small locomotive does not know what we want.”

Accidents happen!

Accidents can happen! Maybe a little too much beer?
