Most of the pictures speak for themselves. Note that the olive R880 is of the 4V variety. Although in general I shy away from repainted engines, the burgundy R12910 was so well done that I bought it. It is very well proportioned and resembles a stumpy GR. The paint job is quite professional.

This is a Ritter restoration. Ritter got hold
of the original Marklin dies after Marklin quit supporting the older HO. Other
than the underside marking, I cannot identify any other clues that it was not
